Easy to Use
The MicroPLB™ is designed for emergency, life and death situations. Since one never knows when an emergency will occur, a PLB must be easy to carry and readily accessible when one needs it. Therefore, the MicroPLB™ is not only small but very thin (the same thickness as a king sized cigarette pack) so that it can be comfortably carried in a pocket or pouch. It is also designed for easy operation by an injured person, with one hand, and in darkness.
It is easy to operate, without small knobs, covers, or switches to confuse the operator during an emergency. For marine use, it will float in water when stowed in a flotation pouch.
