MMInc's proprietary technology uses a computer controlled oscillator source that “immediately” meets the C/S stability requirements without an oven. Thus no "warm up" is necessary and the MicroPLB™ is ready to transmit within seconds after turn-on. Other beacons, depending on the ambient temperature, may require up to 10 minutes or more of "warm up" period after activation before they can transmit a full spec. burst that the satellites will accept.
In some emergency situations, this delay in time may be the difference between life and death!
